All dressed up

Before Tea daddy sent mummy upstairs to get ready she had a bath did her nails and hair and then final came downstairs. Looking very pretty. Daddy says she was going on her works christmas party. Mummy deserves a night to herself but i like it best when shes at home with me Daddy and Sam.

Sad

I have been taking Abigail to Mum and Tots and it has been brilliant really made a difference to Abigail as she has become more confident. Abigail particuarly enjoys the singing at the end. It struck me yesterday when we were singing christmas songs at the end how many knew the words to jingle bells and ruldolph the reindeer but how many struggled with Away in a manger.

rain

When Abi came down stairs this morning it was ranning very heavy and after a little whille she pointed at the window and said rain. Then she did rain with her fingers. Prehaps she wants to be a weather reporter.

Christmas shopping

Mummy and Daddy went out today on there own, Mummy said they were going to do the Christmas shopping. They don't think i know but not sure why they need more when my wardrobe is already full of things. I think they had a good day they came back with lots of bags but daddy a bit annoyed about the parking as it was just over the time it went to the highest charge. But he was pleased that he went to the Christmas markets. Me and Sam had a good day as well. I think daddy is done know apart from one present off his list and some things for mummy. And mummy is ok apart from a couple but has only got to go and get them. As for me well i think I'm finished but best check with daddy.

Only thing is now mummy has to wrap them all but she will only do it when I'm asleep as she says i make things harder but i am only trying to help.

Christmas tree

When i got up this morning every where looked a bit different there were new things out and a the Christmas trees were out and decorated and looked very pretty with the sparkly lights. i did get shouted at for taking the decorations off the tree though. And was a bit scared of daddy's dancing snowmen at first but i don't mind them now but everywhere looks nice.

Advent calander

Mummy showed me my two advent calenders today and said when we have opened each door it will be Christmas eve and that's when father Christmas comes with presents and when we celebrate Jesus's birthday. I like the Advent calenders well the chocolate in them anyway grandma brought me one and Daddy brought me Samuel and Mummy one and they have our names on but he said he will help Samuel with his as he is too young for chocolate.

Whats in a name?

We were asked today how we chose Samuel's name and i just wanted to clear it up. We had a girls name picked and two choices for a boy Samuel and Jacob which along with Thomas were are choices last time. We had ruled out Thomas as its very popular at the moment. Samuel is a family name on both sides and we both liked it, it also had a nice meaning and was a biblical name. We also decided that if we had Samuel James would be the middle name after my dad it also has the same meaning as Jacob. Jacob i really liked but Ste was less keen as he said it reminded him off Jacob crackers, we decided if it was Jacob the middle name would be Stephen as Abigail's is Lorna, but i think that was also a reason why Ste preferred Samuel. We liked the meaning of Jacob and i also liked the shortened version of Jake. But we had no definates and decide we could make a final decision if we had a boy as to what He looked like. So when we did have a boy Ste decided he looked more like a Samuel and we agreed on that name although after deciding on Samuel James i then wanted to add Stephen. Ste didn't and said two names was another but then did agree. So that's how he became Samuel James Stephen.
