Still counting my blessings

After blogging how i has so much to be thankful for life has become a little bit more uncertain and worrying. Ste has been feeling unwell and has gradually got worse it started with pain in his thumb the all his joints were painful but his ankles were very swollen so he after ignoring me listened to his mum and went to the Dr's. He thought it might be rheumatoid arthritis and gave him stronger painkillers and sent him for blood test. Initially he felt worse and on the Sunday was particularly rough but seemed to be much better on Monday and had a up and down week but his ankles and over joints were swelling so much he had to take his wedding ring and watch off but he also got this redness appearing were his joints were swollen and swelling on his legs particularly on his ankles so much so it was painful to wear socks. He headed to the doctors this sat for his blood results were the good news was it was not rheumatoid arthritis. The doctor a different one this time gave him a thorough quizzing and said it could be arthritis caused by a virus could be a virus that they never got to the bottom of she sent him for chest xray to check his lymph nodes and more bloods she also changed his painkillers. The painkillers seemed to be doing the trick and certainly the swelling improved so much that he could get his ring back on. However yesterday he felt rough but despite the Dr wanting to sign him off he declined and headed for work. But he must have been worried cause he phoned and made an appointment for last night and he agreed i could go with him he made the appointment as the swelling was getting worse. he saw the same doctor and she had his xray results. Which dis show his lymph nodes are enlarged she was quick to reassured us it was not cancer but she thinks its sarcoidosis which is not very common (trust him) but is where you immune system attacks its self. So she referred him to a specialist chest clinic at broadgreen and thanks to modern technology we managed to book him in for next Thursday and this time he agreed to stay off. But when we looked for more info he does have a lot of the symptoms but still ammazed the GP picked it up so quickly.

But we feel a bitter better now we know what it is although no cure it is treatable and a larger proportion of people it goes away on its own. But still causing us to be a little concerned and uncertain but were taking it in on stride and thankfully for what we have got. I know Ste is finding it hard as he cant get jobs done he wanted but that doesn't matter there other ways he also finding it hard that I'm at times having to help him when he thinks he should be helping me but the way i see it none of that matters. All that matter is we have each other and we have got loving and supportive friends and family and we have gods love and support. And i am so greatfully i can rely on jesus as my scource of strength.

Panic Stations

After thinking a few weeks ago i would need to get a bigger skirt, i changed shape and my skirt was fitting better. Then this weekend it suddenly feels very tight even with the zip undone it was uncomfortable and here was me hoping it would last till after Cardiff when it wouldn't matter. But suddenly it looks like i need to rethink the plan.

Busy Weekend

I have had a busy weekend not as busy as mummies though. Grandma came to pick me and mummy up on sat morning originally to allow daddy to do jobs while mummy was out but daddy is poorly and grandad cam to take him to the Dr's. Grandma took mummy to the hall were she had something to do and then took me to hers well i had fun playing with Uncle Peter. After lunch and my nap mummy and daddy came and picked me up then we headed to auntie Debi's and uncle Ste as it was Aurthur's birthday party. Then we headed back to grandmas and after tea we all went out to the Army at Southport. Mummy said it was because Dudley songsters were there and her and grandma knew some people. Mummy made me say hello to lots of people but i was good and smiled at them.

Then on Sunday we went to the Army but mummy didn't leave with us daddy said she had to stay for a songster practice. Me and daddy went to nanny and grandads where we watched formula 1 had dinner and tea. Just after tea mummy turned up and then after nanny gave me a bath and mummy had some dinner we headed home.

Daddys Birthday

We got up this morning and daddy opened his cards i had fun playing with balloons. Then we had breakfast and opened daddy's presents. He loved them all but particularly the scrapbook mummy had done for him the motor book and magazine from the year daddy was born. He also liked his watch. Mummy and daddy then went to get ready and thought i was ok as i was watching big cook little cook but i managed to get to a bowl which mummy has some chocs in from Christmas and i managed to eat some and get it everywhere. So i ended up in the bath.

We went out and i fell asleep when i woke up we were at the hospital and daddy was buying something to eat, and mummy showed me a picture of spud. As i slept through the scan. Mummy then had to see a doctor and nurse then we went for lunch. Daddy decided to go to the safari park i was to busy playing with a bballoon so didn't want to look at the animals first but then i noticed them and looked out the window. We then had a walk round the elephants and giraffes and saw the sealion show.

Daddys Birthday Party

Nanny and Grandad decide to have a birthday party for daddy on Sunday and my aunties and uncles and cousins were there as well. They had arranged for a bouncy castle to be there and there was a pirate theme. Nanny made Daddy a cake and as you can see me and macy star on it as well. Only thing is daddy wasnt feeling well he was at the dr yesterday and has to go for blood test tommorow. Mummy is worried about him i keep giving him cuddles.

We all had to dressed up Mummy put me in my ballerina outfit but then said i am not the sort of child that suits a ballerina. Mummy and Daddy were pirates as were nanny grandad and my cousins and aunties my one cousin was a princess. I got to go on the bouncy castle and had great fun so did mummy and Daddy. I also had fun playing with the swords that the boys had got i did like the Dora doll Auntie Julie brought me but the swords were more fun. When mummy brought me in i kept trying to escape back out. We had some yummy food then daddy got to blow out the candles on his cake with some help. He liked his presents particularly the emergency chippy kit of Ben and the silver chip fork off Auntie Carol. I liked the treasure box nanny gave him as it has lots of sweets and chocolate in but they moved it where i cant reach it because i kept taking everything out.

Count your blessings.

We sang count your blessings today and it reminded me just how much i have got to be thankful for and need to say thanks for. 41/2 years ago i was as low as i could be really struggling felt so alone didnt have any selfworth struggled to see any future any hope and even at times wondered if i should turn my back on god as were was he. He was there, helping me evertytime a friend called, supported or prayed for me he was there and it was all his plan as he had so much instore for me and even those things may have been difficult through that time i have learnt to rely on him. Then Ste came in to my life and he is well words just dont describe it he's my everything my friend my support a joker caring and unselfish i guess he is my soulmate. And in evertything i do he encorages and supports me for which i am thankful because without his support i wouldnt be able to be as involved in the corphs as i am but even better he wants us as a family to worship there and our children to develop in there knowledge and faith. Then i have Abi who just lights up my day with a smile and if she wasnt enoutgh spud 2 is also on the way. I know how fortunate i am to have recieved the gift of motherhood. Then i have my friends and family. A job which i love at times is challenging but also a privillage and one in which at times i get to share with people about faith. I have although not perfect (A work in progress) a lovely home filled with treasured memories and love. And of course not forgetting a slightly scruffy but cute and at times a naughty macy dog who always seems to know when you need an extra cuddle. I have my faith and i now that god has a plan for my life and all i need to do is trust him and he is simply the scource of all i need.

Party Time

On Saturday we headed to Aidan's birthday party. mummy put on a CD that Auntie Lyndsey had given her so she could learn her words. I started singing along and i think daddy upset mummy because He said i knew the words better i don't think i do i just like singing.

We got to Aidan's and played and then sang happy birthday to him and had cake. We then headed somewhere else mummy said it was caused timeout. But it was great fun i played with the balls shuffled everywhere went in the ball pit and on the slide. I played so much that i wore myself out. We then called in at Nanny and Grandads and had tea. I like party's the next one is daddy's mummy says he is 40 but daddy says hes staying 39 i don't no why but i cant wait for daddy's birthday. Mummy says they might take me to see spud but im not sure who spud is.

Dentist

Me and mummy have been to the dentist today. I sat on mummy's lap and the lady let me look at her mirror then she put it in my mouth and counted my teeth. Then mummy put me in the pram and gave me a book and the lady looked at her teeth and counted them. The lady gave me two stickers for being good and said she would see us next time.

Tickle Tickle

Abigail favorite book is tickle tickle and she brings it to you to read again and again. Yesterday Ste said she is saying something but not sure what it was so i listened and she was saying ickle ickle meaning tickle and kept repeating it. But yet when he asked her today she wasn't playing.
Normally she doesn't like giving kisses and you have to steal them but yesterday when i asked for one as she went t bed she turned to give me one and did the same to Ste.

What That?

This afternoon we went to visit Nanny and Grandad and i was looking out of the window and this strange white blobs were coming down so i asked What that? Mummy said it was snow and if it carried on i could make a snowman that was if i could walk. I think i would like snowmen i have got a book all about them. I'm not sure about walking though everyone keeps going on about it but i think i will stick to going on my bottom it looks easier and quicker.

A Handbag!!

Abi insisted on taking her handbag with her to the Army .Here she is clutching it as daddy got her ready to go out.

Busy Day

I have had a busy afternoon first i helpedmummy while she was
cleaning the lounge by helping her to dust the fireplace.

Then i learnt to sit on my car i liked pressing the horn but discovered i could move on it as well.

Then i had fun exploring the sideboard but mummy didn't like me doing that as she was trying to tidy up.
