Daddy in Charge

Mummy goes out on a Thursday night, so after tea Mummy asked him did he want to bath me before bed or did he want mummy to do it. He said they would do it now, i think daddys a bit worried about bathing me on his own. So they got me ready to bed before mummy went out. But she left daddy with strict instructions that i had to be in bed at 8. daddy did put me in bed before 8 and i slept till he came in this morning. They are both very pleased with me.

Partys

Mummy said she was taking me to a party today. I expected cake and party food but there wasnt anything like that. There were other mummies and babies there and two ladies who tallked to all the mummies. Mummy said it was a weaning party and the ladies were talking about when it was time to have food. They give us a bag with some stuff in. I think i like the idea of food i tried to get some of daddys cake the other day but he wouldnt let me. Mummy sys i have to wait till im older.

I have been sleeping in my own room its more comftorbale and i like the pretty lights that mummy and daddy leave it on at night.

Big Night

After a bit of discussion we decided that the time had come to put Abi in her own room at night. because she seems to have outgrown her basket. We were worried about putting her in her room because the advice is they should stay in your room till 6 months, but she started to get uncomfortable in the basket and there is no way the cot will fit in our room, so we decided to give it a go. She is right next door to us and has gone in her cot for afternoon naps without any problems.

So last night she had her last feed and went down in her cot, with the monitor in position and night lights on. But she looked so cute and tiny in the cot and it was a little sad to think shes growing up so quick it only 5 minutes since she looked tiny in the moses basket. because she looked so small in the cot she looked so vunerable and i just wanted to scopp her up and put her back in the basket, but i didnt.

Then we went to bed only trouble was i found myself unable to sleep as i was listening to Abi on the monitor. Abi was however untroubled by this change and soon was fast asleep and went through till this morning. When Ste went in to her she was quite happy looking in to her cot mirror.

However we fear the good nights might soon be disturbed as teeth are definatly on the way.

Gardening

I have been out in the garden this afternoon while mummy and Daddy have been tidying the garden up. I think its going to take them a long time though. Mummy put some pretty flowers in some pots but daddy was pulling things down. I enjoyed being in the garden though but i think it will be a while before Mummy and Daddy fix the garden.

I went to the Army this morning and saw all my flowers, it was a little boys dedication, Mummy and Daddy say its mine soon. Its were they say thank you to God for me, and they ask him to look after me and make some special promises. But when do i say thank you for my Mummy and Daddy and the rest of my family and all my friends.

I know that they have got me a new dress and shoes to wear, and nanny is making me a cake. Mummy and Daddy say know I'm older i have got to have a proper bedtime routine so they have put me down in my cot and there downstairs but i thought i sneak in and just update my blog. I quite like my room and it is nice to sleep in my cot. When Mummy and daddy come to bed they will give me my last bottle and put me down in there room.

Busy Day

I went to visit Nanny and Grndad today. Mummy had a day out on her own with Auntie Debbie she was going to take me but daddy told her to have a day on her own and enjoy herself. Daddy had some jobs to do so i went to stay with Nanny and Grandad, they took me out for a walk and i have been playing with them having fun. They have lots of toys for me to play with. I'm blogging on daddys new toy at the moment, he came home with a portable computer yesterday mummy says its called a laptop all i know is i can blog without having to sneak upstairs, i just have to wait till they think im asleep and go and do jobs. cool or what

New Furniture

W e went to ikea on wed as daddy said the baskets have finally come in for my wardrobe. But while we were there he looked at the furniture because since he brought his new tv mummy says we need a new tv stand. And Nanny and Grandad still haven't got mummy and daddys Christmas present as daddy couldnt make his mind up what wanted but nanny said it had to be for the house. So Daddy had a look then went back to the first shop, Mummy was worried it might be a bit big but did like the storage. Anyway daddy brought it and insisted on building it in the process upset the lounge as it needed to swap the hi fi to where the tv was. There was lots of wires and mummy did ask daddy if he needed them all but he said he did but its funny there is still a pile of them on the floor. But the new tv stand does look nice and there is plenty of room for me to expand my dvd collection.

Mothers Day

Daddy took me to the shop where they sell pretty flowers on Saturday to pick up the flowers he had ordered for mummy. They were very pretty but i felt they were missing something so I asked daddy to get mummy a balloon to go with them. On Sunday morning daddy brought mummy down to see the flowers and the teddy bear i had chosen for my mummy. She opened her cards and daddy made her breakfast as i cant reach the toaster yet!!

Then grandma and uncle peter came up and we gave grandma her present, mummy had got her a pretty pink plant and a picture of me which she really loved. We then went to the Army where there was puppets - daddy enjoyed that!!! I liked the song they sang. Daddy then took me to get a plant and card for my mummy and mummy got one for grandma but uncle Peter stayed firmly in his seat. We then went out for lunch but i decided it was nap time daddy certainly enjoyed it because he hasn't stopped talking about the chips.

After that Mummy daddy and me went to see nanny and grandad and take her presents daddy had picked a basket with bulbs in and there was a picture of me to go with it. Which grandad really liked. Auntie Julie was there with max and Joe. But Joe didn't like it when she cuddled me. Then after they went Auntie Linda and uncle Barry came with Mellisa. So we had a busy day seeing lots of people and we finished it by going back to the army and Auntie Audrey's 80th birthday party.

Mummy said she had the perfect first mothers day so daddy was happy and I'm glad because she deserves a nice day.

A Baby called Abigail

Auntie Carol came to visit us on Thursday night while Mummy was out. I think Mummy goes out singing not sure why as she says she cant sing but she seems to enjoy it. Anyway Auntie carol came and she was telling Daddy about my cousin Beth. I like Beth and like going to see her and Ben. But Beth it seems now when playing with her dolls calls them all baby Abigail after me. And earlier today she put her doll in the pram and all the dolls bits in a bag and then said to Auntie Carol that she was taking Baby Abigail to the shops. Do you think she will want to take me to the shops next time i go to see them?

Me and Daddy have planned surprises for Mummy tomorrow as daddy says its a special day for Mummies tomorrow. Mummy and Daddy have brought stuff for there mummies to. And this morning we went to see my great grandma and take her some flowers. i hope Mummy likes her surprises cause i want her to know how much i love her.

My Big Day!

Daddy got really excited today, he took me to his favourite place ...... no not B&Q the chippy! I am not sure what he was so excited about as it smelled funny, and a lady in the chippy had a hold of me and she smelled funny also, eventually daddy got some food and we left, daddy promised me one day he would buy something from there for me but doesnt look like they had any toys though.

Will have to go now mummy and daddy coming up stairs and I will have to get back to my cot. Hopefully will blog again soon.

Diets

I Think this is a brill idea of what diet should be, (another saying from my desk calender)

Equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate makes a
balanced diet

Although i think i would swap the dark chocolate for millk
(not that i often eat chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!)

Hospital Visit

Mummy took me to the Hospital today their were other children there as well. We went into see the doctor and the nurse measured me I am now 59cm and weighed me 5 1/2 kg or 12lb 2 0z. Mummy says im getting big. The Doctor then talked to mummy and said im growing fine and looked healthy and as there were no problems i didnt have to go again. not sure why i had to go today but mummy was pleased with what they said. We then went to tesco shopping and as there was a sale on mummy brought me some clothes for when im bigger.

Cards

We walked into town on Saturday and i needed some cards so we went to the card shop Ste needed to go in as well.. But as its mother day soon the shop was mad so Ste waited outside with Abi why i went in and then we were going to swap. I picked up the cards i needed and then went to look at birthday cards as it's Ste dads birthday soon so looked for a card for Abi to send. but as i was looking at the grandad cards i got upset when i thought Abi wont ever send my dad a birthday card - silly or what. Anyway i came away and went to Ste who as always was there for me. I guess dad knew that me and Abie would have Ste to look after us and that he didnt need to worry about us and that helped me. It would have been there 35th wedding anniversary today its a long time to be together and today its my turn to look after mum.

Laughter

Ste always complains that he cant find the tv control for the tv in the bedroom usually cause i watch the tv at night and its then lost somewhere over my side he likes to watch tv in morning and cant find the control. So he insists on it being kept in the middle. Last night after i had changed channels he took it of me to store safely away. But then wanted it and we couldn't find it so we searched under pillows under the bed shook the duvet to make sure it not on bed looked under the covers but it couldn't be found and it was very puzzling to where it had gone. The Ste looked over in to Abie moses basket and there the control was at her side just as if she had reached over and placed it there. Were not sure how it got there but it caused much laughter when we found it. (thankfully it didn't hurt Abi as it had landed at the side of the basket)

Then earlier Ste was playing with his new phone the screen having broken on his last one he is slowly replacing numbers. He decided to pick scobby doo as the ring tone for Peter. When he started it playing Macy jumped up and looked at his phone as if to say i like this. So betwen the two of them they have kept us ammused

Achievements

I managed to suck my thumb for the first time today mummy was pleased but daddy didn't seem to impressed. But i finally after much chewing of hands managed to get my thumb into my mouth.

Mummy took me to the doctors again today and the nice lady weighed me and I'm now 11lb and 6 1/2 oz. But then she took me to see the doctor again and she put something sharp in my legs which made me cry. Mummy said although it wasn't nice that it would stop me getting ill. Has anyone thought of names for my dollies yet as daddy is still insisting on Bert.

Abigails news

I managed to change the name of daddy's blog while he wasn't looking, not sure when he will notice. I have not been happy the last couple of days, mummy and daddy say I'm teething, but not sure what it is i now i don't like it though. I have started blowing bubbles which is cool though.

Been out today with mummy, daddy and grandma, mummy and daddy bought me two tops but they say i cant wear them yet as they wont fit but i will soon grew in to them, but daddy was pleased because they were reduced. They also took me into a shop that sold nice sparkly things and mummy kept telling daddy which she liked but i think he was ignoring her. I didn't take much notice what they were looking at because i was hungry and i thought i let them know. But i think it was something for me. I'm not sure what they are planning but after we had all had a drink they took me to a place that sold cakes and they definitely said they wanted one for me.

Bert And ?

Yesterday i received a lovely present off Uncle Jason and Auntie Chris, and as soon as mummy saw it she said Ernie, as daddy's name of Bert for my doll seems to have stuck. But i am not sure a pink dolly should be called Ernie and i am becoming more confused! Daddy said bertha but i dont like that name. Anyway have a look at my dollies.
