Progress

Ste has been being a bit adventurus with food latley and has had the odd small (very) jacket potato after some encoragement. But last night he actually asked me to do one for him alongside mine. He only eats the inside and has it plain but it is progress you never know it might be roast potatos next.

Pictures

We took Abi to have some pictures taken on Saturday, and so we could have a family picture. She was a little star and loved the camera unlike mummy and daddy who both prefer to be behind the camera. Abi just loved it and was staring right down the lens. Only thing is now we fear choosing may be difficulty and expensive.

Growing up

I have a desk calender with a message for each day some funny some fact some religious, anyway i thought i would share yesterdays message, because it comes as a relief to me!!!!

Growing old is mandatory;

I cant believe how much Abi is changing this week she has all of a sudden took a big leap forward she now can put her fist in her mouth and nearly managed a thumb is taken so much more notice of everyone and laughing ans smiling. I hope she doesnt grow up too quick. And I'm glad i don't have to.

Memories

When Ste started this blogs it was to let people now all the news about Abigail particularly at the time of her birth. Since then its become a record of memories of the things we have done as a family and Abigail's news, which we thought would be nice for her to look back on. So i thought long and hard as so far we have recorded happy and funny events but it seems only right we remember other things as well.

My dad passed away on Sunday suddenly but peacefully at home. And while at the moment it leaves a big gap in all our lives we are remembering the happy times and were glad dad didn't suffer but slipped away quietly at home. I know dad is at peace now he has escaped from his pain and he is safe. But were all so glad that my dad got his dearest wish and became a grandad. My dad loved children and for years he has asked when you going to get married so i can have grandchildren. And before Abi arrived he kept saying find out if its a girl or a boy so i can know whether to buy a doll or a train set, but we all knew it didn't matter and if Abi had wanted a train set my dad would have got her one. I can remember dad used to sing Daddy's little girl to me and when i moved up here he made a tape of special songs he wanted me to have and that was the first song. He drove people mad until he managed to borrow a copy to record it. It a diverse selection from daddy's little girl to Albert Osbourne but there all songs that dad picked for a reason either cause they described feelings or because he wanted to give me advice and support. I can also remember him coming here one Saturday afternoon while i was still pregnant clutching a cd of bedtime songs and lullaby's, i was firmly told it wasn't for me but for spud. Well Abigail has listened to the cd and i will make sure she knows just who gave it her. Perhaps we should carry on the tradition and make a tape for Abi.

I have spoken to lots of people over the last few days and shared many memories a lot relating to my dads awful jokes and his love of telling stories unfortunately often the same ones, but the one comment i will treasure is that off my 8year old godson who simply said he was a nice man. At the moment i don't quite know what else to say other than i loved dad and i promise to share the special memories with Abi. And to say thank you to Abi because she has been such a blessing to us and particularly to my mom. Thank you for all for the cards and messages we have received and particularly for all those who have prayed for us, it has helped us and in particularly my mom so much.

Trip to Dudley

My mummy and Daddy took me to see my great auntie Ann (a bit mad) and my great auntie Dora in Dudley. We got there for lunch time and spent most of the afternoon there. The auntie feeding me is Ann.

We then got a text of uncle Peter saying that grandad has gone into hospital so my mummy and daddy packed everything up quickly and dashed back home. They then left me at my other grandmas while they went to hospital. Grandad Dodson came home tonight, think its something to do with his back, I am hoping to see him tomorroow. Will have to go now as I am hungry and want a bottle. Abi.

PS - Has anyone come up with a better name for my dolly yet, daddy still calling her Bert!

A Doll called Bert?

My mummy bought me a dolly yesterday but when i was asked what its name was mummy said dolly, but daddy says its Bert because its blue. I dont understand

can you have a dolly called Bert?? Do you have any suggestions mummy will put a picture of dolly below. If you have any ideas please let me now or my doll could become Bert.

Valentines Day

Mummy and Daddy both seemed pleased with there cards off me. Daddy brought mummy flowers and they came with a balloon and teddy he also brought her chocolates. Mummy says he soppy but i think its nice. Mummy brought Daddy chocolates and a single rose which i helped her choose. They also brought me a ladybird but macy keeps pitching it so Mummy's had to put it where he cant reach but here's a picture of me with it.

I dont now why he wants this toy in particular, me and mummy brought him some dog treats so he had his present too. Heres a picture of him whille hes being good

They then took me to Auntie Carols where i had fun playing with Ben and Beth whille they went out. They had a meal but when they tried to go to the cinema the film was sold out, so i think there going to try another time. But it meant they were back early for me not that i took any notice as i was asleep.

abigails news

After much research and visits to Currys daddy has final decided and brought his new tv much to mummy's relief. Uncle peter came with us on Friday and while daddy got to bring his home he had to wait till yesterday, but he and daddy collected it and got it up and running so there both happy now. I like watching it, me and daddy have just been watching top gear daddy found it very amusing i just liked the colours. But daddy is pleased with his tv and i think mummy's hoping it will keep him quiet for a while.

Mummy and Daddy took me to the Army on Sunday night and it was a special evining all about love and lots of people were wearing pink which is my favorite colour. Everyone had to write down a name of someone they loved or had loved them so i asked daddy to write mummy and daddy for me. There's lots of other special people who i love but they are the most special to me and i have brought them something special for valentines day. Sunday was also when mummy and daddy left me at nanny's and grandads for a little while i enjoyed it but i think they both felt strange without me and they soon came back.

I have had a busy day today mummy took me to the doctors this afternoon were first a lady measured and weighed me i didn't mind going on the scales and my height being done but wasn't keen when they put something around my head. Anyway i now weigh 9lb 13 oz and i am 54cm long. Then we went back into a room with lots of other babies i was enjoying looking around when we went to see another lady who talked to mummy and then me why she kept looking at me and moving me mummy said she was the doctor and she was making sure i was ok. After that mummy took me on a bus and then we went shopping and we picked up some bargins in the sales and some other things that we liked. We also went into the flower shop and mummy brought daddy a pretty red flower. We went to the coffee shop as well were mummy had a drink and gave me a bottle. I like shopping. I think that's all my news for now i better go as its past my bedtime, night night

abigails news

Mummy and Daddy took me shopping on Saturday to Liverpool i enjoyed being out and espically all the attention me and my Daddy got whileMummy was looking at clothes> (I think daddy did too!!!!!!!!) The only thing was they didn't take me to the toy shop!!! We did go to the animal shop and we all enjoyed looking in there Mummy and Daddy both brought trainers, i liked the t shirts but mummy says i will have to wait a while as they don't do a baby range. Daddy still hasn't stopped moaning about the car pack charges. But i had fun and i think mummy did too.

Yesterday was my Auntie Julia birthday party which Mummy and Daddy took me to all my cousins were there to. But i was feeling sleepy so slept while they played and enjoyed the cuddles off my aunties. I woke up in time to see the candles on the cake and to hear the singing. Only thing is i didn' get any cake. I like doing this blog but i have to wait till Mummy and Daddy think im sleeping to get on the computer, but i think it should be called Abigails blog what do you think?

Pob

Mummy and Daddy have been playing nursery rhymes to me and singing and doing the actions which i enjoy i like the grand old duke of york. I have also listened to the songsters cd which i enjoyed but im not sure mummy has learnt her words yet!!!!! But i like smilling at mummy and daddy when they play with me.

Daddys new nickname for me is Pob. He says i look like Pob when i am looking for a feed this usually comprisis of me opening and closing my mouth till someone and i dont usually care who feeds me. Although i have to watch out because ive seen macy looking at my feed a couple of times but mummy sees him and makes sure he cant get it. Anyway heres a picture does anyone else think i look like Pob and could someone please explain who he is. Abigail
